LETTERS OF THANKS

Dear Rebuilding Together Oakland and their volunteers:

Words cannot express my appreciation and gratitude to the organization and businesses that support this wonderful program.  We have always tried to keep our property on good condition.  For the past 30+ years I have lived here with my husband and family, living on two meager incomes.  Now I am a senior citizen with a fixed income… My home had started falling into disrepair since the passing of my husband two years ago, because he was a handyman around the house and a jack of all trades…

To all the volunteers you restored my faith in mankind.  I have not seen nor felt that much genuine expression of love and concern in my life in a long time.  Your improvements to my property has made me proud to be at home and it has been an inspiration for other to come over…

To all involved—to put is simply, thank you, thank you, thank you.  I would like to thank all of the entire staff and visionary mindset at Rebuilding Together…However, I would like to make once exception and thank the Team Leaders David & Dick for working with me through this project…

Sincerely Annie Bell Dumas

To Phil and all his wonderful workers:

This is to let you know how much I love all the work your group put into my home.  They did thing that I needed to do for years but was unable.  I shall never forget all the work they put into my house.  I didn’t have words to express how I feel.  In my 92 years I have never met a group of people as nice as each one of them.  I would like to thank each one of them personally.  Thank the ladies for the gardens.  Thank them for the flowers, and thank you and your wife for the beautiful flowers for my birthday.  I am not very good about writing thank you letters, but I do the best I can.  I want to let you know I shall never forget you all.  Thank you again.

To Staff & Volunteers, c/o David, Harris & Ed:

God put my blessing in your hands and hearts.

And while you may not be aware of any special link,
Just meeting you has changed my life much more than you can think.

Thank you for all the hard work in my home,
And pleasant words and friendly faces.

For I am a total of many folks I have met.
And you happen to be one of those I prefer not to forget.

The best gift of life can offer is meeting folks like you.
May God leave its richest blessing in the hearts of you and yours.

Love Addie

Dear Rebuilding Together Oakland:

Words cannot express my gratitude and appreciation to the organization, businesses and supports of this wonderful program….

I have always tried to keep my property in good condition, even though for the past 31 of 42 years I have lived here as a single mother, living on a meager income. Now I am a senior citizen retired with a fixed income…My medical expenses take a large part of my income, leaving very little income for anything else.  My home had fallen into disrepair.

I would also like to give my compliments to the team captain, Ruth Marshall from Give Something Back Business Products.  She was very compassionate, patient, caring with great taste and a sense of style.  She followed through on all aspects of the project…

To the owner ofGive Something Back, how humble you are working all day and not taking credit or letting it be known that you were even there…

To Roberta Beier, who although came on board at the very last minute, you would never have known it.  She stepped up to the plate and took control.  She is very efficient, gave special attention to detail.  She followed through on all projects and continued to come to my home until her list was completed.  It was a pleasure having her work on my home.

To all the volunteers you restored my faith in mankind.  I have not seen nor felt that much genuine expression of love and concern in my life.  Your improvements to my property make me proud to come home.

To all involved—to put it simply, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Sincerely,
