Corporate Team Building
team building
[teem bil-ding]: the ability to identify and
motivate individual employees to form a team that
stays together, works together,
and achieves together.
Rebuilding Together has a long history with the corporate
community. As you and your colleagues work side by side to
perform a vital community service, you are also strengthening the
bonds that make your organization great. Our rebuilding days
provide an excellent opportunity for your company to work one or
more days out of the office to rehabilitate the home of a
low-income homeowner or a facility serving a community in need. In
doing so, the corporate organization chart may be flipped on its
head; the CEO may work on the team lead by the department
supervisor and the CFO on the team lead by the maintenance
worker. Use this opportunity to work with partners and
vendors to strengthen your alliance in today's competitive
environment. In addition to a "new" house for the homeowner
or refurbished community facilty, your organization will benefit as
well. Leadership skills among your employees will be honed;
lines of communication open and alliances fortified.
What's involved?
Corporate teams are the backbone of the rebuilding
experience. Your participation provides the financial support
and core volunteer team to repair a house or facility. As a
fiscal sponsor, you provide a financial donation of $7,500 or more
and a team of volunteers from 15-200 people. Your
tax-deductible sponsorship underwrites the cost of building
materials, supplies, workday t-shirts and volunteer insurance.
Experience needed?
Skills are great, but there is plenty of work to do for
unskilled volunteers. All volunteers are welcomed and will be
put to work!
