Got Skills?
Rebuilding Together Oakland needs you! We need plumbers,
electricians, roofers, contractors, carpenters, painters, tile
worker, drywall/sheetrock, flooring/carpet installation and HVAC
professionals. These skilled volunteers may be skilled trades,
retired or former trades, and/or weekend warriors.
The time commitment for a Skilled Volunteer is four to 16 hours
on one site, primarily in April, although we also have some work
available throughout the year.
Safe at Home & Energy Efficiency Volunteers
If you have the time to commit year-round and are somewhat
handy, consider becoming a volunteer with the Safe-At-Home and
Energy Efficiency programs. We will train you to do work such
as installing grab bars and performing energy efficiency
modifications.
Organizers & Occupational Therapists
Rebuilding Together Oakland relies on more than tradesmen!
Some of our homeowners have needs which require the help of a
professional organizer or occupational therapist to properly
address. From our preview process through our April
Rebuilding Day, your expertise can go a long way towards changing
somebody's life!
We are also always on the lookout for people with backgrounds
in marketing, administration, and foreign language
translation.
